We are sure all our Mariners Trust members will echo the board and welcome our new boss Ian Holloway to Grimsby Town FC and wish him every success on and off the field at Blundell Park and beyond.

It’s been a fantastic start to 2020 and the positive vibes around the club has certainly been infectious, Ollie has brought bags of experience to the role of manager and assisted by Anthony (Limbrick), Ben (Davies) and of course Dave (Moore) has given everyone a tremendous lift as we bid to move up the league table.

Ollie speaking after his appointment said: “I’m really, really excited about it – I can’t tell you how excited I am. I feel like a kid in a sweet shop, it’s been fantastic.”

John (Fenty) explained: “Ian and Kim (Ollie’s wife) have committed to selling up and moving into the area, seeing Grimsby as a long-term project.

He added: “He will also acquire shares in the club and will commit to attending full board meetings. In the short term, we believe his positive energy and hunger for success will provide the impetus, to convert our recent positive performances into results into the New Year and beyond.”

The passion Ollie has displayed with visits to schools and the way he has championed everything around Grimsby is intoxicating and shining a spotlight on the club – long may it continue.
