Comedian Jack Whitehall has signed his match worn Grimsby Town shirt after playing at Blundell Park in a charity match
Following a brilliant charity football day on 21st May at Blundell Park, comedian, Jack Whitehall, has signed the Grimsby Town shirt which he played in, and it is now up for grabs on eBay.
Jack played almost a full 90 minutes in a team of celebrities and ex-Grimsby Town players, including: Tommy Turgoose, Danny North, Lloyd Griffith, Martin Gritton and Gary Croft. The blue Grimsby Town away shirt from the 2016/17 season was worn by the celebrity team, and Jack has signed the number 6 shirt – the one he wore for the game.
Jack has kindly donated this to the Mariners Trust for auction on eBay to help raise more money for the Football Club.
Hannah Dawson, Mariners Trust Secretary, said:
“It was a pleasure to meet Jack Whitehall at our Play on the Pitch day, and he was an absolute gentleman.
“I’m delighted that he agreed to sign his shirt for us, and really hope that we can use this to raise even more funds for the Club.
“It is a one of a kind item, so the lucky auction winner will have something extremely valuable to show off to their friends!”
