Dave Roberts has arranged a visit from Joe Waters back to Blundell Park for the Doncaster match on 5th October. In conjunction with the disabled supporters club, he has also organised an evening with Joe in the Mariners Trust bar on Friday 4th October at 7.30pm. Profits from the evening, will go towards the disabled supporters club.
Tickets are available here :Tickets. This is a “pay what you want event”, a £5 donation is recommended but if you can pay more that would be greatly appreciated. There are also some physical tickets available from the club ticket office.
Joe joined the Mariners in 1976 initially on loan and then was transferred from Leicester City here for £10,000 after the supporters raised £2000 to bring him here. Joe was club captain in the 1978/79 and 1979/80 promotion seasons and one of the Clubs most iconic players.
Although not a Mariners Trust event, we thought that members would like to know about this event and hope that you can support it.
