We are once again approaching the time of year for our Annual General Meeting.
The 2024 AGM timeline is as follows –
- 18th Septmber – Resolutions / Agenda I tems deadline
- 23rd September – Agenda, Accounts and other necessary documents to be circulated to members
- 2nd October- AGM to be held at 6.30pm.
Due to multiple changes in personnel, there are a total of EIGHT board places available for anyone who may wish to join and contribute to the day to day running of the Mariners Trust.
These places are available as follows –
FOUR board members standing down.
TWO spaces due to Carl Hullett & Kevin Donovan currently being co-opted and not full board members.
TWO vacant spaces which were not filled since the last AGM.
Anybody wishing to stand for election should look to familiarise themselves with our rules as well as the requirements for standing for election. This can be found in our AGM Document page, [hyper ink below] You should then complete the attached nomination form, together with the required supporting statement and return it by 18th September 2024.
Points to note:
- You must be a member of the Trust at the time the notice of AGM is issued (i.e – today)
- You are fully aware of conditions set out in 5.9 of the election policy
- You have two fully paid up Trust members (at the time of completing your nomination paperwork) seconding your nomination
Please note that the Chair of the board has the right to check that any person who stands for election meets the required conditions.
In the event that we have more members standing for election than places available, an election will take place in the same manner as last year. We will release more information on this in due course.
